Here you can learn how we strive to operate as sustainably as possible.
Our entire selection consists of vintage and second-hand clothing. At Thrift, we always wash and thoroughly restore our garments before offering them for sale. This means repairing minor imperfections that may have appeared during a garment’s lifetime. Examples include lint removal, stain removal, sewing repairs, or reshaping caps. We aim to restore each item as comprehensively as possible so that it can find a new home and remain in circulation for as long as possible. We also strive to carry out all washing and cleaning processes in the most environmentally friendly way possible.
We always disclose and photograph any defects separately so that they are clearly visible. We also inform customers of any visible repairs made during the restoration process. The small red arrows shown in our product images indicate the location of a defect on the garment. You can always find the garment’s measurements in our online store.
We authenticate all of our garments. This means that any branded item we sell is guaranteed to be genuine. We also clearly state in our listings whether an item is second-hand, Y2K, or vintage, so you can be confident about the era it comes from.
We are a small Finnish family-owned business. Most of our clothing is sourced domestically in Finland, although we occasionally supplement our inventory through trusted international partners when needed.
All orders are shipped through Matkahuolto. We package orders as minimally as possible and use as little plastic as we can. Our goal is to deliver every order in the most environmentally responsible way possible.
