Terms and Conditions of the Online Store

Thrift’d Oy (Business ID: 3332629-3), hereinafter referred to as the online store, sells products to private individuals within Finland. We reserve the right to change these terms and conditions as well as product prices.

These terms apply to the online store thriftd.fi, which is operated by Thrift’d Oy (Business ID: 3332629-3). Before submitting an order, the customer must accept the online store’s terms and conditions at checkout.

Ordering

Products are ordered by adding them to the shopping cart in the online store. An order is placed by completing payment through the checkout process. By placing an order, you accept the online store’s order terms and conditions, as well as the prices and delivery charges displayed at the time of purchase. When placing an order, the customer provides an email address to which the order confirmation, receipt, and tracking code will be sent. 

All prices include 25.5% VAT. We apply the margin scheme taxation method to our sales.

Payment

Payments in the online store are processed by Visma Pay (Visma Payments Oy, Business ID 2486559-4), a payment service provider registered in the payment institution register maintained by the Finnish Financial Supervisory Authority. Payments are made through the Visma Pay service, and the payment recipient shown on your bank statement or invoice will be either Visma Pay or Visma Payments Oy. Visma Pay transfers the payment to the online store merchant. All payments are secure. Information related to payment transactions is transmitted via encrypted connections, ensuring that no third party can access payment details.

The sales agreement is concluded directly between the customer and the online store. The online store is responsible for all obligations related to the transaction.

Payment

Through the Visma Pay service, you can pay using online banking credentials, digital wallets, and payment cards (credit/debit). The following payment methods are available: Osuuspankki, Nordea, Danske Bank, Oma Säästöpankki, Säästöpankki, Aktia, Local Cooperative Banks, S-Bank, Handelsbanken, Ålandsbanken, MobilePay, Masterpass, Pivo, Visa, Visa Debit, Visa Electron, MasterCard, and Debit MasterCard cards.

MobilePay: You can pay with your MobilePay wallet if you have enabled online payments in the app settings. Payments made with a MobilePay wallet are charged to the payment card linked to the wallet. If the payment cannot be charged to the card, MobilePay payment will not be available in the online store.

Delivery

Orders are shipped on business days via Matkahuolto.

The processing time for an order is typically one business day, but orders will be dispatched within three business days at the latest. After processing, the order is transferred for delivery.

You will receive a tracking code for your order in your email once we have processed and shipped it.

The total delivery time is 3-5 business days to the pickup point.

You can see the shipping costs at the checkout of the online store before proceeding to payment. Shipping costs are 0€, 4.95€ or 6.95€ depending on the selected shipping method and the size of the order.

Thrift’d Oy is not responsible for delays in deliveries that are not related to the operation of the online store. If delays occur, please contact customer service (asiakaspalvelu@thriftd.fi).

Pickup from our Pori store

It is possible to pick up an online store order from the Parcel Point parcel machine on the ground floor of Kauppakeskus Isokarhu (Yrjönkatu 14).

When choosing a delivery method at the online store checkout, select Pickup from Pori.

Complete the order process & payment.

We will package and deliver your order for pickup within 1-2 business days.

We will deliver the order to IsoKarhu, after which you will receive a text message notification that the order is available for pickup and a pickup code for the parcel terminal.

The order is available for pickup within 7 days.

The delivery cost for pick-up orders is 0€.

Return Policy

Thrift’d Oy (Business ID: 3332629-3) sells serviced, washed, and restored clothing. Customers are provided with information regarding the condition and measurements of products in the product listings. The customer accepts the online store’s terms and conditions at checkout before completing payment.

The customer has a 14-day right of exchange and return in accordance with the Finnish Consumer Protection Act. The customer may exchange or return part or all of the ordered products. Returned or exchanged garments must be in the same condition as when received. If you wish to make a return, please contact our customer service by email (asiakaspalvelu@thriftd.fi). Detailed return instructions can be found above.

Failure to pick up an order without contacting us does not constitute a refund under the terms and conditions. For orders not picked up for which cancellation has not been notified in advance by email, we will charge a processing fee of €10, which will be deducted from the amount to be refunded.

Returns for pickup orders from Pori are free of charge.

We are a small business, so unfortunately returns are subject to a fee equivalent to the shipping costs incurred by us. We charge a €7 return shipping fee to cover these costs. The return shipping fee will be deducted from the refund amount.

After receiving the returned item(s), we will inspect the condition of the garment(s). Your refund will be issued using the original payment method no later than 5 business days after we receive the return.

The customer is responsible for any loss in value resulting from handling the returned garment if it is not returned in its original condition.

Order Cancellation, Liability for Defects and Complaints

Before an order has been dispatched, it may be cancelled by submitting a written notification by email to customer service (asiakaspalvelu@thriftd.fi). Following notification, we will refund the full order amount within 3 business days.

The online store is liable for defects in products in accordance with the Finnish Consumer Protection Act. In the event of a complaint, we kindly ask you to first contact our customer service (asiakaspalvelu@thriftd.fi).

Force Majeure

We are not liable for failure to perform, or delays in performing, our contractual obligations if such failure or delay is caused by events beyond our reasonable control (force majeure). Force majeure events are defined below.

“Force majeure” means any act or event beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to strikes, lockouts or other industrial disputes by third parties, civil unrest, rebellion, invasion, terrorist attacks or threats thereof, war (declared or undeclared) or threats or preparations for war, fire, explosion, storm, flood, earthquake, subsidence, epidemic or other natural disaster, failure of public or private telecommunications networks, or the inability to use railways, shipping, aircraft, road transport, or other private or public means of transportation.

Processing of Personal Data

The online store processes personal data in accordance with applicable data protection legislation. More information regarding the processing of personal data can be found in the online store’s Privacy Policy and Register Description.

Intellectual Property Rights

The content of the online store is the property of the online store or its partners and is protected by copyright laws and international copyright agreements. All intellectual property rights relating to the online store (including copyrights, images, registered and unregistered trademarks and design rights, domain names, patents, database rights, and trade secrets) belong to the online store or its partners. All rights reserved.

Cookies

Cookies may be stored on the user’s device. A cookie is a small text file that allows information to be collected about how and when the online store is used, such as which pages the user has visited, which browser is being used, and how the user arrived at the online store. Information collected through cookies is generally anonymous, although it may be linked to personal data provided by the user.

The purpose of cookies is to analyze and improve the online store so that it can better serve users, as well as to collect statistical information regarding visitor numbers and measure the effectiveness of various site functions. Information collected through cookies may also be used to provide targeted advertising.

Users may disable cookies through their browser settings; however, doing so may affect and potentially reduce the functionality of the online store.

Pricing Errors & Order Cancellation by the Online Store

The online store reserves the right to cancel an order in the event of a clear and significant pricing error. This refers to a pricing mistake where the listed price of a product differs so substantially and obviously from its normal market value that an average consumer should reasonably have understood that the price was incorrect.

If an ordered product is unavailable after the order has been placed, the online store will contact you. The online store reserves the right to cancel the order if, for example, the ordered product is no longer available. Any cancelled order will be refunded using the original payment method.

Use of the Online Store

Customers are granted limited access to the online store. Visitors are not permitted to misuse the online store.

Visitors may not store, use, transmit, display, or redistribute any content from the online store or material obtained through the website to third parties, except as permitted under applicable copyright laws.

It is prohibited to gain unauthorized access to the website, interfere with users, damage data, send spam, or attempt to disrupt the operation or performance of the website or any computers or systems used through it.

It is prohibited to encourage or commit criminal acts, distribute viruses, or otherwise transmit malicious technical material.
